Anticholinesterase Treatment for One Case with Paralytic Exotropia Following Viper Bite

Abstract
Although the paralytic exotropia following viper bite is the rare complication, it is not severe complication. Patients suffer from a sense of uneasiness if ophthalmic complications like diplopia, dizziness and decreased visual acuity are resolved rapidly. From January, 2000 to December, 2006, the authors treated one patient among four patients with ophthalmic symptoms by snakes bite with anticholinesterase medication. The authors report that symptoms are improved rapidly by anticholinesterase medication.
